Dartmouth is a quintessentially English town, a delightful place full of picture postcard views, quirky architecture, protective castle, ancient churches, the imposing Brittania Royal Naval College that gazes over the town, many art galleries, pretty shops and exquisite restaurants. The steep sided, tree filled hills tumble to meet the majestic River Dart with its bobbing sailboats, visiting tall ships and cruise liners…. A wonderful place to sit in the sunshine watching the steam train at Kingswear snake its way along the river’s course…. or laze by the bandstand in the flower filled park as the fountain splashes and the gulls call as they fly. The town is within easy reach of the stunning beaches and coves of Blackpool Sands, Strete Gate and Start Bay with its magical captive freshwater lake. I fell in love with Dartmouth…. I think you will too!

The Flavel is a new community and charity funded building, close by the main car park and within easy reach of every part of Dartmouth town. Facilities in this beautiful centre include ballroom/theatre/cinema, licensed café/restaurant, gallery space, studios, public library, internet suite, disabled access with lifts to all floors. It has a wonderful atmosphere of warmth and welcome and its impressive glass frontage gives a light filled, spacious, elegant feel to the building…. It truly is the centre of the Dartmouth community and a venue I am immensely pleased to be using
