When Walking through woodland I find my
favourite secret placesI,
Then connecting with nature, and it's spirits,I am given this gift by mother
earth,
my fasination with all things botanical, Lichen, seed heads, moss also
Dragon flies& spider webs,which make beautiful subjects to work into
the designs for my Repousse work in metal,
I visulised jewel encrusted caskets, as carried. by Medival knights for
containing precious oils and holy relics, also taking inspiration from
ancient illuminated manuscripts.
So it began ..collecting semiprecious stones crystals and artifacts from
around the world to use and embellish in my metal work ,
Whether it be a Thaugamist's chest,used for containing secrets for Alchemy
and ancient spells to a beautiful mirror with cobweb corners and dragonflies
entwinded with ivy and vines fit for a faery queen, to spell books and
journals for recording secrets and dreams , card boxes of various sizes,
and tiny boxes for tiny folk too, all my work is individuly hand crafted
with love so each piece is totally unique,I also so take commisions however
small or large............" so close your eyes and make a wish"
