I studied A Level Art and chose to spend the second year focusing upon architectural illustration and botanical illustration. The buildings and sculptures are the works of master craftsmen which I feel should be recognised and preserved. The history and subject matter of the sculptures can be enchanting and thought provoking, and they often tell a story of the past, peoples’ beliefs and myths.

  It is the intricacy, mathematical accuracy and depth created by strong shadows that I enjoy recreating on paper. I have been inspired by the detail and realism of The Pre-Raphaelites, and the bold images and rich colours used  by Tamara de Lempicka, and I enjoy working in graphite pencil and coloured pencil.
