Joanna Wilson Personal Statement

Jo studied art at Middlesex University, graduating with a BA Honours degree in Illustration in June 2008. She specialises in relief printmaking, particularly in vinyl and woodcut, winning the Printmakers’ Council prize in July 2008. She is currently working in the printroom at Middlesex University, extending her knowledge of all forms of printmaking. Her main influences are the natural world and the sea. She has collected fossils from an early age and is an enthusiastic beachcomber, creating numerous personal works from found objects.
