“Born in 1974, on a cold December morning, in the historic, Roman city of Exeter, Devon, I was thrown into the world of Arthurian Legend by my Father.
My name, Jennie, was inspired by the classic film “Camelot”, in which King Arthur called his Queen Guinevere; -  Jennie,  for short!

My father's passion for this wonderful Mythic time took us throughout the length and breadth of England in search of romantic ruins of make - believe castles, deep woodlands with enchanted pools and waterfalls. I was enthralled by the stories and legends that surrounded them, and it wasn't hard for a young girl with a vivid imagination, to imagine ladies-in-waiting in flowing gowns, brave knights, magick and mystical creatures.
Able to hold a crayon better than I could a spoon, it wasn't long before I started to chart my magickal worlds onto paper, with very basic drawings of dragons, unicorns and faeries.
I was encouraged to develop my art from a young age, and spent countless hours doodling away, my favourite medium being the humble pencil.

Years passed, and with them my interests changed. My art waned as other hobbies took hold, only to fade out again as the newest one came along, but still, in the background, my art remained true.
I did attend ArtCollege in a Foundation Course, but after a year I grew bored and felt restricted, and so I left.
After that, my attentions turned to wanting my own family, and many years later, with a loving husband beside me, I'm now encouraging my son who, I'm happy to say, has inherited his mother's love of art and legends.

For the past 3yrs my old faithful hobby has returned with fiery breath to re-kindle that long lost passion for Myth and Legends. It's been like getting re-acquainted with an old friend, and with the loss of my mentor, my Father, the acquaintance is doubly welcomed!
My passion for the humble pencil remains constant with the exception of adding colour with coloured pencils, watercolours and acrylics.”
