GAVIN ROACH

I am largely self-taught when it comes to art. It was imitating comic book illustration when I was young that really started me off and since then I've tried to learn from anything that crosses my path.

These days I find inspiration from late 19th-early 20th century illustration; the likes of Arthur Rackham, John Tenniel and Henry J Ford for example, the pre-raphaelite brotherhood and cartoonists like Garry Larson and Bill Watterson also influence my work.

I still like comics as well.
