My "hand-made" creative life combines my many interests: A patchwork of themes includes a love of Creative Expression, Middle Eastern influenced Dance forms, and a Nature-centred Spirituality.
Practice and influences
My images are illustrative, colourful, and influenced by dreams and folktales, Nature, a word or a phrase, or trying to capture a stunning moment in time.  I use watercolour and inks in a traditional manner, and then “free-up” with pastels and acrylic in semi-abstract compositions inspired by landscapes and the movements of dancers through space.
I also enjoy working with 'found'/ recycled materials, especially driftwood, to make wall-hung, 3D pictures reminiscent of seaside scenes, but keeping the beauty of wear and decay, and forms suggested by these chance effects. I love the idea of bringing a new life to objects otherwise discarded as “use-less”. 
In commissions I am working with including personal symbolism into the images to provide an extra layer of meaning and memory touchstone for the client.
